Berlin Partner recruits specialists and management talent to Germany's capital

06.07.2011

Career Destination: Berlin

Eric (creative director), Nina (engineer), Georg (software developer), Martha (game illustrator), Ben (PR manager) and Pete (web designer) just want one thing: Out!  Away from this wasteland, where the asphalt blisters in the sun and boredom creeps up your pants leg like a spider.  Off to the big city to make their careers!  They are loitering at the on-ramp to the Autobahn, waiting for their chance. A Porsche from Hamburg stops, but they wave the driver on, a BMW from Munich doesn’t make the cut either.  Then, an ancient bus with a fat "B" for Berlin on the license plate rattles to a stop.  A Berlin Bear is behind the wheel.  Everyone jumps up and climbs aboard.  Happy Ending?  It's a great start, at any rate, for a career in Berlin!

So goes the screenplay for the clip "Most Wanted," which Berlin Partner published on YouTube today (www.youtube.com/user/blcberlin) and various other websites to attract young specialists and management talent to Berlin.  The short film (1 minute and 24 seconds) is intended to raise interest in the jobs portal "Talent in Berlin" (www.talent-in-berlin.com).  Berlin companies can list jobs for specialists and executives from across the world on the site, at no charge.  People looking for a job in Berlin, just might find the "on-ramp" to their careers there.

Berlin Partner launched "Talent in Berlin" one year ago.  It is Berlin's first jobs site directed at international job-seekers with specialized skills or management capabilities.  At present, there are 265 jobs listed, and the site attracts 300 visitors per day.  The listings are available in German and English and integrated into the Business Location Center (BLC), Berlin's business portal.  The BLC offers comprehensive data about Berlin's business landscape and provides information about living and working in Berlin, leisure activities, schools and childcare.
