The „Berliner Woche“ is Berlin’s highest circulation weekly newspaper, with more than 1.559 million copies distributed free of charge to households throughout Berlin every week, financed only through advertising.
With 32 local editions (including the „Spandauer Volksblatt“ newspaper), the „Berliner Woche“ has a stronger local focus than any other title in the city. One of the title’s most important missions is to strengthen social responsibility and participation in Germany’s capital.
The „Berliner Woche“ was recognized with the „Durchblick“ newspaper award for closeness to the people by the Federal Association of German Free Papers (Bundesverband Deutscher Anzeigenblätter, BVDA) in 2007, 2013, 2015 and 2017.
