Dr. Karina Riese, Partner at MeyPa aud.IT GmbH WPG

1. Please describe your company in a few sentences.

MeyPa aud.IT GmbH WPG represents a new generation of auditing and advisory services. We combine deep professional expertise with a consistently digital workflow and specialized know-how in statutory audits and business consulting.

2. Why are you engaged as a Berlin-Partner?

For us, it is important to strengthen connections within the business community, provide and share valuable insights, exchange expertise, and support emerging talent. Our focus is always on gaining a better understanding of Berlin as a business location and contributing to its constructive development.

3. Which topics drive you in relation to your industry?

We are driven by the transformation of the traditional auditor’s role—from a pure “controller” to a strategic business advisor with analytical and entrepreneurial expertise. We are actively engaged in change management and the implementation of digital workflows and data analytics, both within our own services and directly for our clients.

4. What makes Berlin special to you?

Berlin is characterized by a strong hands-on mentality and a high openness to new ideas and external impulses. The city’s business community is agile, flexible, and solution-oriented, even in times of crisis. In addition, Berlin offers a unique intersection of business, science, and politics at all levels.

5. Why is Berlin attractive for your company?

Berlin has a strong SME sector that values pragmatic and constructive solutions. Trust and long-term business relationships are highly appreciated by entrepreneurs, particularly within the city’s often family-owned business landscape.

6.  What does Berlin stand for, in your view?

For us, Berlin stands for diversity in action, strong networks, healthy pragmatism, and the straightforward exchange of ideas with and among decision-makers.

7.  How does your company approach sustainability?

For us, sustainability means actively engaging with social change and understanding its impact on future-proof business strategies. At the same time, we put sustainability into practice through the conscious and responsible use of resources in our highly digitalized day-to-day work.
