1. Please describe your company in a few sentences.

The Berlin-based company MOOT is Europe’s leading company for industrial upcycling. We rescue used textiles, worn-out workwear, event banners, packaging materials, and leftover merchandise from disposal and process them in Europe into high-quality upcycling products. For our B2B partners, we manufacture around 20,000 products per month and develop scalable, customized circularity solutions based on existing material resources.

 

2. Why are you engaged as a Berlin-Partner? 

We want to actively and sustainably help shape the transformation toward a truly functioning circular economy. Berlin Partner offers the ideal platform to develop targeted synergies with Berlin-based companies, implement joint projects, and further strengthen Berlin as a pioneering business location for sustainable practices.

 

3. Which topics drive you in relation to your industry? 

At the core is the urgently needed shift away from linear economic models in the textile industry. Our motivation is to establish genuine circularity on an industrial scale. Every day, we demonstrate that what are often considered textile waste materials are in fact valuable raw materials that, through thoughtful design, can be transformed into durable and high-quality products.

7.  How does your company implement sustainability? 

Sustainability is an integral part of our business model. Through the consistent use of upcycling and the industrial processing of existing materials, we significantly extend their life cycles. In this way, we reduce resource consumption and textile waste while simultaneously making a measurable contribution to CO₂ and water savings along the value chain.
