Stadtkultur Berlin GmbH

Kai Kirchhoff, CEO of Stadtkultur Berlin GmbH

1. Please describe your company in a few sentences.

We are Stadtkultur Berlin and specialize in outdoor advertising—primarily for culture, events, and everything happening in the city. For many years, we have ensured that posters are placed exactly where people are on the move. Our goal is to make culture visible in the urban landscape.

2. Why are you engaged as a Berlin-Partner?

We are out and about in Berlin’s urban space every day and work closely with the cultural and events scene. For us, it’s a natural step to get involved beyond that. As a Berlin Partner, we want not only to help keep culture visible, but also to expand our network and strengthen the city’s diversity together with other stakeholders.

3. Which topics drive you in relation to your industry?

We are particularly concerned with how outdoor advertising can be used in a meaningful and creative way. At the same time, it’s about keeping culture visible and finding new ways to reach people in public spaces.

4. What makes Berlin special to you?

The mix. Everything happens here at once—large events, small projects, subculture and high culture. And that’s exactly what makes the city so exciting.

5. Why is Berlin attractive for your company?

Because there is always something going on here. There are countless events, creative projects, and new ideas—perfect conditions for what we do.

6.  What does Berlin stand for, in your view?

For us, Berlin stands for diversity as it is lived every day. Different people, cultures, and ideas constantly come together here and shape the cityscape. This interplay is what makes the city so special and ensures that it never stands still.

7.  How does your company approach sustainability?

For us, this mainly means using public space in an organized and meaningful way. We create designated spaces instead of wild posting and use existing structures such as construction fences efficiently. In addition, we support many cultural projects that often have limited budgets.
