SyncroBot GmbH

Dr. Julian Maas, Founder and CEO of SyncroBot GmbH

1. Please describe your company in a few sentences.

Like a conductor in an orchestra, SyncroBot uses AI to connect different autonomous mobile robots and decides in real time which vehicle should take on which task. This ensures optimal fleet utilization while creating maximum flexibility to efficiently automate transport processes and repetitive tasks.

2. Why are you engaged as a Berlin-Partner?

As a spin-off of the Technical University of Berlin and a Berlin-based start-up, we are closely connected to the city. At the same time, the strong network of Berlin Partner offers excellent opportunities to connect with key local stakeholders. This creates partnerships from which major projects can grow.

3. Which topics are driving your industry?

Two aspects are particularly important to us:

  • Berlin has immense expertise and innovative strength. At the same time, it is often challenging to scale these strengths to an industrial level. Our message to established companies is therefore: Dare to adopt innovations and research from emerging market players.
  • In addition, we are actively promoting the use of robotics in small and medium-sized enterprises. We want to dispel the misconception that robotics is still “music of the future” or unsuitable for SMEs.

4. What makes Berlin special to you?

Berlin brings together an incredible diversity that is essential for developing and implementing new ideas—far beyond topics such as robotics or economic issues. The city has always been at the pulse of time: a melting pot of visions and at the same time a unifying force between people, disciplines, and perspectives.

5. What does Berlin stand for, in your view?

Openness, a spirit of experimentation, reinvention, and courage.
