Creations for a greener future

16. June 2023 - Berlin and Brandenburg will present themselves with a joint stand on the occasion of the Greentech Festival (GTF) from 14 to 16 June 2023 on the grounds of the former Tegel Airport, Berlin TXL Under the motto "Mission To Net Zero", groundbreaking green technologies will be presented at the festival, which pave the way to a climate-neutral future. Now for the fifth time, the GTF, asan interdisciplinary platform, offers space for technological innovations, inspiration and ideas over three days and offers future products for all areas of life.

The five companies presenting themselves at the 75 sqm Berlin-Brandenburg joint stand show how sustainability can be (re)thought and implemented:

The Aufzughelden / Digital Spine GmbH: The company's goal is to develop innovative IoT solutions in the field of building management to increase efficiency, based on many years of expert knowledge and state-of-the-art technology. The startup evaluates elevator data to reduce maintenance and repair costs.

ABCircular GmbH: offers a range of different services specifically tailored to manufacturing SMEs to reduce their environmental, economic or social footprint. Inspired by concepts such as the circular economy and the three pillars of sustainability, the company focuses on three areas: Recycling technologies in application, sustainability and environmental consulting, further education for a sustainable future.

Würth Elektronik eiSos GmbH & Co. KG: Würth is presenting a Horticulture Rack - a digital greenhouse - that integrates plant-optimised LED lighting, real-time monitoring and remote control via wireless connectivity.

DIE Deutsche Immobilien Entwicklungs AG: DIEAG stands for holistically designed and implemented real estate projects. There are currently two lighthouse projects in the portfolio related to sustainability: the “Behrens-Ufer”, where a future-oriented, energy self-sufficient city quarter for business, science, art, culture and public life will be built on an area of ten hectares; and the "Food Campus Berlin", an innovation and industry centre for the future of nutrition and planetary health that will be built on 40,000 square metres of floor space.

SRH University of Applied Sciences: The SRH University of Applied Sciences with its three campuses in Berlin, Hamburg and Dresden caters for its students curiosity and passion in 70 accredited study programmes.

As a prelude to the Greentech Festival, the GREEN AWARDS 2023 were presented at a glamorous gala evening on 14 June. A jury of industry experts, including Dr. Stefan Franzke, CEO of Berlin Partner, selected outstanding projects, products and people from the fields of green technologies and sustainable living for the categories Youngster, Innovation, Startup and Special Award.
