Think Voltaic GmbH

Sesij Dag, Gründer und Geschäftsführer

1.  Describe your company in a tweet?

The current energy transition will significantly transform our lives. As a ClimateTech company and holistic service provider for solar and recycling solutions, Voltaic is the pioneer for a sustainable, environmentally friendly and climate neutral Germany.

2.  Why are you involved as a Berlin-Partner?

Berlin is not only an important political, scientific and technology location, but also our founding location. We see the Berlin Partner Network as a relevant platform for exchange with decision-makers. Our goal is to create and expand sustainable added value for the city, society and the Berlin Partner Network through our commitment and close ties.

3.  What issues are driving you in terms of your industry?

Our priority is smart and fast implementation of solar and recycling solutions for residential and commercial customers. In this context, there are a large number of potentials, which we identify in close cooperation with our customers. These include, for example, the integration of solar energy into smart grids, the creation of new business and tax models, and the promotion of clean energy technologies. We follow relevant developments in our industry with great interest, such as the hoped-for reduction in bureaucracy, and carefully analyze the associated opportunities to ensure that our customers can benefit from them.

4.  What makes Berlin special for you?

From Berlin, for Berlin & beyond - we deliberately chose Berlin as a location because we are convinced of the city's attractiveness, innovative power and potential. With this decision, we would like to make our contribution to the success of the city and its residents.

5.  Why is Berlin attractive for your company?

For us, Berlin is a unique location that offers a promising combination of established traditional companies and dynamic start-ups. Proximity to politics and a high attraction to talented workers, both nationally and internationally, are special features of the city. These factors have contributed to Berlin becoming a relevant center for technology and science.

6.  What does Berlin stand for in your eyes?

Innovation, internationality, diversity, cosmopolitanism, creativity, commitment, ingenuity, networking, digitalization, courage, agility, sustainability, dynamism - everything that we as a company Voltaic stand for.

7.  How does your company implement the topic of sustainability?

Our central motto is "Climate-First Energy!" As a digital craft company of the future, we are directly involved in the energy transition and actively contribute to achieving climate neutrality. But that alone is not enough for us: we measure ourselves against the CO2 targets we communicate, following the "Protect Our Planet" approach adopted by the United Nations in 2015 and comprising the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We align our day-to-day business with these goals and strive to maximize our positive impact on the environment.
