2. Why are you involved as a Berlin Partner?
The PAN AM Lounge is linked to Berlin's history in a special way. Opened in 1966, it formed a bridgehead of freedom with its second location in New York, setting a sign above the rooftops of City West for new beginnings, boundlessness - and the inspiring power of encounters. The location quickly developed from a lounge for PAN AM crew members into a hotspot for everyone who wanted to celebrate life and freedom in the divided city. To this day, the PAN AM Lounge has remained an inspiring, stylish meeting place. This unifying element is reflected in a special way in the Berlin Partner network. Together, a wide variety of players shape the innovative metropolis of Berlin - and thus move the city and its people forward every day.

We want to meet the highest standards with our work. Also and especially in times of crisis. Preserving timeless values and at the same time looking ahead innovatively, shaping the future and at the same time preserving our own style - that is the objective of the PAN AM Lounge. Our ambition is to preserve and further advance the city of Berlin and especially the City West around Breitscheidplatz as an exceptionally diverse cultural and meeting place.
