42 Wolfsburg/Berlin

Stephanie Levy, CEO of Schools, 42 Wolfsburg/Berlin

1. Describe your company.

42 Berlin provides the answer to the IT skills shortage. The programming school relies on the initiative of its 700 students with its project-based #peer2Peer pedagogy. Instead of courses, semesters, professors, and tuition fees, you find 100% coding practice in Neukölln.

2. Why are you involved as a Berlin-Partner?

The shortage of IT professionals is also noticeable in Berlin. At 42 Berlin, we train the next generation of software engineers and tech talents with a clear value compass and without compromising on quality. We use an educational model that familiarizes students with the fundamentals of software engineering - independent of specific technologies and applications, they are thus well-prepared for the IT job market and its changing requirements.

Good education and smart minds are the foundation for innovation and transformation. We are proud to have been contributing to the development of our society since 2022 and, as a Berlin Partner since 2024, to strengthening Berlin’s digital economy.

3. What issues drive you in relation to your industry?

In keywords: Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Partnerships, IT Education, Skills-Based Education, IT Skills Shortage, Recruiting, Employer Branding, War for Talents, IT Career Change, Diversity, Lifelong Learning.
