MINTD UG

Emmelie König and Natalia Wallroth, CEO and Co-Founder of MINTD UG

1. Describe your company.

MINTD is an end-to-end recruiting platform that connects female talent in STEM professions with companies globally. The AI-based software with a focus on employee retention promotes diversity in companies and breaks down language and bureaucratic barriers. Our community and upskilling offerings help close the gender gap.

2. Why are you involved as a Berlin-Partner?

As a startup founded in the German capital, we want to actively contribute to promoting growth in Berlin as a center of innovation. We are committed to more diversity in companies and are fully convinced that our mission will have an even greater impact as a Berlin Partner through synergies in the network.

3. What issues drive you in relation to your industry?

In particular, the so-called "gender gap" in STEM professions and management positions. There are currently only 16% women in STEM professions in Germany. As women make up almost 50% of our society, they should be equally represented in decision-making roles and STEM positions as men. On the other hand, studies show a higher probability of earnings with increased gender diversity in companies. Nevertheless, there are still many barriers and prejudices that need to be broken in the workplace.

4. What makes Berlin special for you?

Berlin is a symbol of freedom and tolerance as well as its important role in politics, business and technology.

5. Why is Berlin attractive for your company?

Berlin is attractive to us as a company because of its international appeal and its role as Europe's startup hub.

6. What does Berlin stand for to you?

For us, Berlin stands for a vibrant city that is known for its cultural diversity and as a location for innovation.

7. How does your company implement the topic of sustainability?

We are particularly committed to the ESG goals of social and environmental responsibility. We support women in optimally shaping their careers, promote a more diverse working environment and provide qualified employees for sectors with a focus on innovation and green energy, for example. With our global focus, we promote international cooperation and enable international talent to enter the German labor market.
