November is all about science: Berlin Science Week and Transfer Week

01. November 2023 - November in Berlin is all about science. Berlin Science Week will take place from 1 to 10 November with more than 20,000 visitors, over 500 speakers and 150 organisations. The common goal: to promote and further develop Berlin's far-reaching knowledge and technology transfer. In keeping with that, the Transfer Week organised by Berlin Partner will take place from the 21st to 25th of November. Its motto, "Gemeinsam Innovationen gestalten” (Shaping innovations together), indicates the strong willingness of Berlin's business and science actors to cooperate.

Reason enough to draw attention to the attractiveness and charisma of Berlin's science landscape with the Brain City science campaign this month with three new poster motifs. The posters, which feature three strong headlines and matching motifs, will be placed throughout the city and at Berlin universities from the beginning of November. There are now more than 100 Brain City Ambassadors. One of them isProf. Dr. Aysel Yollu-Tok, Professor of Economics at the Berlin School of Economics and Law and Director of the Harriet Taylor Mill Institute. She will be featured on one of the posters under the title “Wissen schafft Verbindungen” (Knowledge creates connections).

The Berlin Science Week proves itself to be a spectacular science festival every year. And this November, bright minds, innovation-loving experts, creative networking professionals and excited visitors will come together to share and promote scientific excellence and innovative exchange. With a blend of face-to-face events and hybrid as well as digital formats, the festival offers the Berlin audience, as well as interested visitors from abroad, versatile opportunities for knowledge transfer. Participants also have the opportunity to make new contacts and network through panel discussions, exhibitions, workshops, VR experiences, music installations, film screenings and other interdisciplinary offerings. The venues are as varied as the programme: From the Berlin Science Campus at the Natural History Museum Berlin to the ART & SCIENCE FORUM at Holzmarkt 25 and other numerous locations throughout the city to the Culture Train to Poland: Berlin Science Week underlines the importance and innovative power of Berlin as a science location in an impressive and enriching way.
