NTT Global Data Centers EMEA GmbH

Günter A. Eggers, Head of Public Sector & Healthcare, NTT Global Data Centers EMEA GmbH

1. Describe your company in a tweet!
Global Data Centers is a division of NTT Ltd. Our data centres offer - also in Berlin - public authorities, companies and start-ups a safe haven for their IT systems. As a neutral operator, NTT enables access to most major cloud providers, the most important internet nodes as well as leading service providers.

2. Why get involved as a Berlin Partner?
Germany's future depends significantly on digitalisation. Secure and highly available data centres as part of a powerful digital infrastructure form the foundation for this. We see Berlin Partner as an important platform for exchange with regional business and political decision-makers. With our expanded commitment in Berlin, we - as one of the leading providers in the data centre market - are sending a clear signal for the location.

3. How does your company implement the topic of sustainability?
We have committed to operating our data centres in Europe in a climate-neutral manner by the end of 2030 at the latest. In addition, we work closely with operators of municipal heating networks to make as much of our CO2-free waste heat as possible usable for third parties. We also use innovative and creative technological solutions at suitable locations to further improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
