1. Please describe your company in a few sentences.

OCEAN BERLIN (opening in spring 2027) is a combination of a large-scale aquarium—the largest in Germany—and a marine museum: a highly modern, international edutainment destination and a visionary competence center for global marine conservation in the heart of the capital.

As part of the renowned Coral World International family, the project combines fascinating, large-scale aquarium environments with innovative exhibition concepts. Key thematic focuses include krill, plankton, and global ocean currents.

For Berlin—and for the MICE segment—this will create an architecturally spectacular event location and a new tourist attraction that conveys an important message: “It’s time to give the ocean a voice".

 

2. Why are you engaged as a Berlin-Partner? 

Berlin is a global metropolis for innovation, science, and education. Through our partnership with Berlin Partner, we anchor OCEAN BERLIN firmly within the city’s economic and social network from day one.

This collaboration enables us to build strategic partnerships with schools, universities, research institutions, and companies. In doing so, we can make our educational offerings accessible to a broad audience and more effectively fulfill our mission—to inspire people to sustainably protect the oceans.

 

3. Which topics drive you in relation to your industry? 

OCEAN BERLIN is driving the visionary evolution of the leisure and tourism sector toward modern, emotionally engaging edutainment. Our goal is to demonstrate that economic success and global ecological responsibility can go hand in hand in an urban environment—because ocean protection begins on land.
